VAR ITER ACTIONS gathers the Var Chamber of Commerce and Industry (industry department and Var Accueil Investisseurs), the Var Chamber of jobs and Crafts, Toulon Var Technologies Innovation and the Var Departmental Council. Health and well-being
- PACA is the No. 2 region in France in terms of numbers of physicians.
- The Var has renowned specialised medical facilities: hand surgery, functional rehabilitation, neurosurgery, burns units, etc.
- Its 14 public and 56 private establishments cover the full range of medical specialities.(pole santé).
- Toulon houses the Sainte-Anne Military Teaching Hospital.
The Var provides all the right conditions for health and that feel-good factor, with many high-quality healthcare establishments and specialised reception facilities to cater for the elderly and the disabled.
- The Var is the ideal situation for thalassatherapy and Spa centres of repute.
- The aging index along with Alpes Maritimes is the highest compared to the national average. The "Demographic dynamics" of seniors is increasing in the Var.
