Manosque December 7 & 8, 2011
Var Accueil Investisseurs participates to the next Iter Business Forum 2001 in Manosque, in collaboration with the WOIC Iter and renewable energy. This event will include: an industrial conference with a plenary session and thematic workshops, Business to Business Meetings (“One on One”) scheduled on line by companies themselves, a dinner on December 7 for networking purpose, a visit of the ITER Site at Cadarache. for further details

[The Var, a geostrategic location at the orbital hub of the competitiveness clusters

EUROBIOMED


The cluster's aim is to create synergies between the health sector's economic and scientific actors on the Mediterranean seaboard through joint research projects, to encourage value-building (patents, royalties, sales, jobs, etc.), enhance the sector's visibility and outreach, and boost the economic appeal of the LR and PACA regions. It has two main orientations: emerging pathologies and orphan diseases, developed along 4 lines:
  • infectious and tropical diseases,
  • cancer diagnostics and immunotherapy, focusing on rare or aggressive cancers, new tools for peronalised medecine ,
  • treatment and care for the aged, neurological and disabling pathologies ,
  • medical devices and bio-engineering.

141 members - 3 joined from the Var in 2010.

Eurobiomed is the competitiveness cluster that draws together all the health sector operators in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Languedoc-Roussillon regions. Our missions: - Develop and organise the network of health sector operators and in particular the SMEs, to streamline medication, diagnostics tools, new medical devices and services developments, - Support the growth of the region’s companies by setting up services, tools and access to funding, - Promote the network and the quality of public- and privately-funded research carried out in the South of France, - Encourage and support the implementation of collaborative R&D projects and help them secure funding. 5 priority project areas:
  • infectious, tropical and emerging pathologies,
  • rare and orphan diseases,
  • medical devices, primarily: biomarkers, diagnostics,
  • immunology and its therapeutic applications.
  • neurological diseases, ageing and disability.
